Our business, 8 Point Building Inspections, was recently contacted by a Buyers Advocate on behalf of their client to conduct a pre-purchase building, termite, and pest inspection on a 3-bedroom terrace house in Essendon.
Drew, one of our qualified Inspectors, conducted a thorough inspection of the property and found the ensuite to have cracked tiles and deteriorated sealant, which increases the risk of water leaks in those areas. Using a moisture meter Drew was able to assess that the level of moisture present in the ensuite walls was very high, indicating a water leak. It was recommended that the client engage with the appropriate trades to get quotes on rectification works required.
