8 Point Building Inspections, was contacted by a client who found us through our Google My Business page. They were in need of a pre-purchase building, termite & pest inspection for a unit they were interested in purchasing in Carrum Downs. Our inspector, Marty, went to the property which was a single-story, 2 bedroom unit to conduct a thorough inspection of the building’s interior and exterior.
Marty found a couple of minor defects including a downpipe that was not connected to the stormwater drain. This can result in large amounts of moisture being dumped against the house, which may lead to movement in the foundations. He also found a sagging ceiling in the living room the likely result of a prior roof leak. The client was made aware of the defects and given recommendations of the appropriate trades to engage to get an understanding of the rectification work required & costs related to it. The client was very satisfied with our service, the detail of our report and the knowledge of our Inspector.
